plaingraph serves as-reported company financials from public statutory filings. Every source below carries its licence, its freshness model, and its honest caveats — because a coverage flag you can trust is worth more than a number you can't.

UK — Companies House
The core register. Company registry metadata, full filing history, registered charges (secured debt), and filed accounts parsed from iXBRL and e-filed PDF. Statement-of-capital and SH01 allotment filings are parsed into funding events with a derived implied valuation.
Implied valuations are filing-derived estimates: they carry a confidence band and the source SH01 date, and they are never presented as advice or as an authoritative figure.
Honest caveats
- About 40% of UK accounts are iXBRL today — full balance sheet plus P&L. iXBRL becomes mandatory in 2027, after which coverage compounds.
- E-filed PDF accounts are parsed heuristically for balance-sheet
basics; they carry the
pdf_heuristiccoverage flag. - FRS-105 micro-entities file no profit & loss by law, so no P&L exists to serve.
- Funding-event coverage accrues forward from our live-feed start date — it is not a decades-deep backfill. Every events and screen response states the coverage window it was served from.
Estonia — e-Business Register
Company registry core plus structured annual-report financials from the Estonian e-Business Register, operated by the Centre of Registers and Information Systems (RIK). Financials are parsed at ingest into a curated table for instant serving.
Freshness is a snapshot model — figures are as of the last register load, not a live feed.

ESEF — EU/UK-listed IFRS filers
As-reported IFRS fundamentals and facts for roughly 5,000 EU- and UK-listed issuers, parsed from ESEF report packages (inline XBRL against the IFRS taxonomy) sourced from filings.xbrl.org. Extension taxonomies are normalised so facts line up across filers, and every fact keeps its provenance.
ESEF is batch-built rather than on-demand, so coverage advances in scheduled runs. These listed issuers are keyed by LEI and are available over the API and MCP; dedicated landing pages for them are not published yet.
FCA — National Storage Mechanism
Listed UK PLCs file a UKSEF structured annual report (the UK ESEF profile, IFRS-tagged) with the FCA's National Storage Mechanism, while Companies House often holds only a PDF for the same company. plaingraph discovers and serves the richer NSM filing on demand, routed by LEI, so a listed PLC's financials come from the structured source.
NSM-sourced financials surface under the company's Companies House record — there is no separate register to look up.
GLEIF — the identity spine
The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation's LEI dataset (~2.5M LEIs) joins the same company across registers and supplies Level-2 (RR-CDF) accounting-consolidation relationships — so you can walk from a subsidiary's accounts up to the parent that consolidates them.
GLEIF gives factual corporate group structure only. plaingraph holds no officer, PSC, beneficial-owner, or sanctions data — company records, never persons.
Reading a coverage flag
Every numeric field carries a coverage flag so an agent (or an analyst) can never silently treat a missing value as a clean read:
ixbrl— machine-tagged from a structured filing (richest, most reliable).pdf_heuristic— extracted heuristically from a PDF; treat as an estimate.unavailable— not present in the filing.
plaingraph is a company-data product — not a people-search or compliance-screening (KYC/AML/sanctions) tool. All sources are public-domain or CC-BY-class; the moat is parsing, history, and entity linking, not access.
